Pho Dai Loi 3

December 3, 2012

Hey, I didn’t know there was a Pho Dai Loi 3. It’s in Duluth, not far off the Pleasant Road exit. I stopped in for pho on a drizzly day last week, which seemed appropriate. It’s a nice, clean place, and my server was friendly. I ordered a spring roll that had roast beef and [...]

Ramen at Miso Izayaka

September 27, 2012

Favorites from 2011 [Home Cooking]

December 21, 2011

Yep, I’m doing another Favorites of the Year series of posts. Similar to last year, I’m dividing the posts into three categories – home cooking, dining out, and I’m changing the third category from wine to general boozin’. We’ll start in the kitchen. I love to cook. Be it alone, where I find an afternoon [...]

Best/Worst Soup Improvisations

April 14, 2011

Duck fat matzo ball tom kha soup made in a chicken bone and coconut broth at Baan Sawan. AWESOME! Buffalo Chicken Soup. Basically somewhat thinned out buffalo salad dressing. NOT AWESOME! (Special runner up: The buffalo chicken omelet special I saw this morning at Atlanta Bread Company!)
