Atlanta on the Cheap posted yesterday regarding the free shipping that Half Off Depot is offering through the end of the month. When checking out, just enter the code “hodbday”. I checked it out, and shipping to me was only $2.19, but hey, that’s valet money right there.
I follow Half Off Depot on Twitter, which I recommend as that will be the first place you hear about great deals and special codes. For example, right now you can use the code “found” for 5% off. Depending on the size of your order, this could be better than the free shipping deal.
I think HOD is one of the better “deal websites” out there, there aren’t as many stipulations as on some others, but you do want to read the fine print. A variety of Fifth Group Restaurants are on Half Off Depot right now, including Ecco, La Tavola, and The Original El Taco.

The Ecco and La Tavola deals are $50 gift cards for $25 (including shipping), but you can only use one card per table, and be sure to remember that doesn’t include tip. That brings me to a point I’d like to mention. If your tab is $50 even, and you apply a $25 gift card, please tip on the $50 amount. Some may argue with this, but then again, some people are cheap bastards.
Back to the deals…
The Original El Taco deal is a $25 gift card for $12.50, but with this one multiple cards can be used at once. I plan on loading up on 3 of these. With free shipping, I will get $75 worth of food and alcohol (I didn’t see no booze stipulation!!!) for $37.50, shipping included.
That’s a hell of a steal my friends.
