Here’s a quick post with some hot hot internet link action….various things I’ve bookmarked and said to myself, “hey, maybe I can generate some mad traffic with this!”
Oh, but before we begin, if you have not done so already, please go vote for your favorite pizza places in Atlanta. This is important. Do it.

To kick us off, my friend Tucker over at the fabulous Serenbe community told me a few months ago about how much she loved to eat at Dressed, and The Sunday Paper has picked up on this as well. The article is about local restaurant offerings that are good for you, but that doesn’t mean it can’t taste great too.
I’ve mentioned it before, but Half Off Depot has some good deals on half priced gift cards for local restaurants. Quantities are limited, so be sure to hurry to take advantage of $25 for a $50 gift card at Woodfire Grill, or $10 for a $25 gift card to Savage Pizza.
I’m a day late on this, but La Tavola, part of Fifth Group Restaurants, has a great offering they are calling Molto Mondays. As the image above indicates, it is your choice of homemade pasta and a glass of wine for $15. Not a shabby deal at all.
Another Fifth Group restaurant, South City Kitchen @ Vinings, is having what they call the “Eat Like You Work Here” event on January 20th. Everyone will receive 25% off their meal from 5-10PM.
And yet another FG restaurant, Ecco, is offering what they call the “Sunday Share”, a family style Sunday supper for $25/person.
Fifth Group is doing a great job in my opinion. In what must be tough times for many restaurants, they are being quite proactive in creating fun and well-priced offerings to get butts in seats, and I hope it’s paying off for them. Any restaurant that isn’t thinking about creative ways to entice diners isn’t working hard enough.
The Bureau is offering a $0.25 “Bailout Brunch” starting this Sunday, January 15. With those kinds of prices, you can afford at least two three bloody mary’s or mimosas.
On their blog, RogueApron discusses Georgia Organics and how to attract new members. Georgia Organics is your source for info on local food, farmers, CSA’s, farms, etc in Georgia. You can purchase an individual membership for $35 ($25 if a student) and receive some swag and invitations to future food events and discounts to dinners, farm tours, and wine tastings.
I leave you with this monstrosity, courtesy of Broderick Smylie. What is it? Click if you dare…
