I am on the road today, then heading back to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech/Miami game tonight at Bobby Dodd, so it is a busy day. As such, here is a quick post regarding some things going on, or somewhat involving Atlanta.
Metromix had a good interview with Riccardo Ullio of Sotto Sotto, Cuerno, and Fritti, among others. I haven’t been to all of his restaurants, but Sotto Sotto was one of my more memorable meals in Atlanta. It’s worth a read and his restaurants are definitely worth a visit.
Need some more inspiration for Atlanta restaurants? If you haven’t already, check out the Atlanta based food blogs The Blissful Glutton or Chow Down Atlanta. These are daily reads for me and give me something to aspire to at this site. I waste a lot of your time with my personal trials and tribulations in the kitchen, but these blogs are very focused on the restaurant scene in Atlanta. Chow Down Atlanta has a good post on 6 Feet Under today.
Ever heard of an underground supper club? Well, Atlanta has one, and they have their own website (does that really make it “underground”?) I’ve never been to one of these, but I am intrigued and plan on keeping up with this group so I can try to get involved next time they meet up.
Also, don’t forget that tonight and tomorrow are the last days of Midtown Atlanta Shop and Dine Week. There are still deals to be had, not just at restaurants, but also at places like the High Museum and Whole World Theater.
Lastly, if you have heard of the restaurant Dynamic Dish in Atlanta, and you want to see what they’re cooking up each day, check out their blog. They keep it real.
Have a great day!
