Yep, I’m once again out of town, but this time I’m having some fun in Sonoma, hanging at the headquarters of Dirty South Wine (aka Hardy, the Murphy Goode Social Media Correspondent). While I may not be as exciting as last week’s house guests, so far we are throwing down in style. As such, my posts may a little infrequent the next few days, though I may have a chance to get something in from Hardy’s Healdsburg estate during our eating interludes.
This morning we hit up Downtown Bakery & Creamery for croissants and sticky buns, then walked around before breakfast #2 – Mexican burrito with eggs/chorizo/beans/cheese.
Then to kill a little time and wash down our two tasty breakfasts, we hit up the tasting rooms of La Crema and Williamson Wines.
Shortly after, we had lunch at the bar at Zin (Chef Jeff Mall cooked at the James Beard house just a few weeks ago) and had the Mexican beer battered fried green beans, seen below. They were almost as fantastic as my burger, which was exciting – the earthy, almost gamey quality was very memorable…it was savory, dirty, and delicious. I haven’t had a burger like it.
Heading to Cyrus bar (menu here) for dinner. Should be the nice finale to a gluttonous day.
