Sorry for being lazy with posts the last few days. I was out of town for work from Thursday through late last night, the trip concluding with our Make-A-Wish Charity Golf Tournament. It was a great success – the course was fantastic, the weather was cool and gorgeous, and we raised a bunch of money for a little girl to go to Disney World. So there’s my excuse.

Many times I have referred to “the list”. Yes, I actually keep a spreadsheet of the restaurants at which I have eaten, but more importantly I have a list of places I want to go. I keep it on Google Docs so I can easily update it and share the list with others. Nerd alert! Here is a link to the doc.

But I’ve also embedded the list below. Which places on my list have you been to? What should be my next destination? What am I missing? Please put your feedback in the comments!

Dude you have to try Sugo! Our favorite location the one in Historic Roswell located in Clocktower Place Shopping Center.

Here is my two cents on two places I’ve been to on your need to eat list:

Harry’s Pizza – best pizza in Atlanta in my book. NY style, perfect crust (slightly burnt), great flop, awesome sauce. The service is terrible and the place is a dive, but its just that good. Big lunch crowd today so I even helped bus my own table….i didn’t care…its that good. Really, try it out.

Thompson’s Bros. BBQ – yet another dive (located in a strip mall conveniently next to the Olive Garden). Decent BBQ, sweet sauce, great mac & cheese. I wouldn’t rush there though. If I were in the mood for some cue I would try out Swallow n the Hollow. I’m sure you’ve heard of it, its consistently rated pretty high, but its up in Roswell. Great food, great service, solid atmosphere. Check it out.

And now my two cents on a couple of your wishies….

Ecco – pretty great Italian tapas place. I know, Italian tapas, mamma mia!! They have a great wine list and pretty amazing cured meats and cheeses. It’s a great place to go in to in a group so you can just pick a bunch of things and eat it all. Me being from a mother named Bertucci, you would think I know alot about Italian stuff, but I don’t, so lay off

Farmhouse at Serenbe – Actually got to eat Brunch there one weekend with my gf and her mom and step-dad. The owner/operator/chef was teh one who brought out the food, and the grits were the thing that stood out in my mind. The whole shtick there is all of the ingredients are grown in the little development The Farmhouse in located in. Think Truman Show meets Deliverance….I think as long as you stay within the gates, you wouldn’t have to worry about squealing like a pig. The development was still about halfway done in terms of houses built and sold, but it was an interesting place in the middle of an interesting area.
